Devni Acharya
Devni is a Senior Consultant at Arup driving the circular economy in the built environment agenda through international projects and research. Devni specialises in systems thinking, resource flow analysis and circular business models. She has wide-ranging experience advising cities, developers and suppliers on how they can incorporate and benefit from the principles of the circular economy. Her approach is founded on collaboration, value creation and leveraging digital technologies.
Devni has worked closely with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation since 2016, when Arup became the Foundation’s Knowledge Partner for the Built Environment. She was part of the ‘Circular Economy in Cities’ project team, which saw the development of a suite of online resources for urban policymakers. She is currently leading ‘From Principles to Practices’, a project evaluating the financial performance of new real estate models designed to accelerate investment in buildings that embody circular economy principles.
