Joan Rovira is the Secretary General of the Consorci Forestal de Catalunya and an expert in Forest Management and Rural Development. Rovira is a renowned forest engineer and a leader in sustainable forest management and rural development. With a solid academic background and an extensive professional career, he has been a key figure both locally and internationally in various forestry and environmental projects.

Since 2002, he has held the position of Secretary General at the Consorci Forestal de Catalunya, an organization that represents forest owners and forestry professionals in Catalonia. In this role, he manages the organization, maintains institutional relations, and coordinates European and international projects, such as the Life BioRgest and Quality Pine projects. Additionally, he is the director of the Catalunya Forestal magazine. Since 1996, he has been the Director and Manager of Forestal de Catalunya SCCL, the first forest owners' cooperative in Catalonia. In this cooperative, he oversees operations related to forest engineering, the buying and selling of timber and firewood, forest property protection, and the production and commercialization of plants.

Furthermore, Joan Rovira is an active member of the Confederación de Organizaciones de Selvicultores de España (COSE), where he has represented the organization since 2017 and participates in numerous boards and organizations related to the forestry and rural sectors. He has also been a representative of COSE at the Confederation of European Forest Owners (CEPF) from 2010 to 2017, contributing to advisory groups on forests and rural development within the European Commission.
