Philip Maughan is a writer and researcher based between London and Berlin. A former editor at New Statesman and 032c magazines, his current work spans journalism, teaching, digital media and speculative design. His essays on future foods, agricultural technology, climate adaptation and frontier science have appeared in Noema, TANK, BBC Future and the Guardian. He is the co-founder, with Andrea Provenzano, of the food philosophy platform Black Almanac and has collaborated with institutions and research groups including Antikythera, The Strelka Institute, Modem, Deloitte Ventures, Medialab Matadero and Trust.
